The acquisition of Beltone in 2000 was thus an important step in the expansion of the group’s resources and capabilities, turning the GN ReSound group into the world’s second largest hearing healthcare company, while the purchase of Danplex, Rastronics, Hortmann and ICS Medical together with Madsen made the group the largest global supplier of computerized audiology and hearing instrument fitting equipment.
