Standard Procedure
Remains as previously directed. The recommendation for risk-free installation is as follows:
- Run the Aventa 2.x Uninstaller Tool as instructed (can be found on the Aventa 2.9 CD)
- Install Aventa 2.9
This will work correct on the vast majority of sites (and even at a significantly higher speed compared to previous releases).
Please be aware that there may be exceptions in terms of the model list display in the product tabs. A few cases were reported in which the products did not appear correctly in the Selection screen, e.g. act by ReSound becomes visible and models from ReSound Live 9 family tab disappear. When using correct standard procedure, this can happen at following scenarios:
- For customers with remote installation
- Machines with multiple user accounts
Workaround
For those that experience the above after installing Aventa 2.9, a modified install procedure is required.
If such cases occur, and to perform the workaround efficiently, do the below procedure on the Administrator account. You can either run these files directly or download them to your desktop and run them in the order stated below:
- Run the UserRegCleanTool file
