What are smartphone compatible hearing aids?

Smartphone compatible hearing aids connect directly to your smartphone. These hearing aids enable you to connect with your Apple® or Android™ devices so you can stream calls and audio from your smartphone to your hearing aids. They also connect to hearing aid apps, so you can adjust your sound settings discreetly.

There are hearing aids for iPhones® and other Apple® devices that are called Made for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch® hearing aids. They link directly to iPhones and other devices on the iOS platform, such as iPad®, iPod touch® and Apple Watch®. 
Android compatible hearing aids
There are also hearing aids for Android. The hearing aids pair up with Android devices, either directly or via a wireless streamer. Streamers are smart and discreet accessories which provide the communication link between the wireless technology in the hearing aids and the smartphone.
