5 tips for better email communication

Schedule your emails
Send your emails on a specific day to increase opening rates. Generally, the best days to send emails are Tuesday & Thursday before lunch-time.
Compress images
When including images in emails, make sure they are compressed to limit their file-size. You can use free online tools such a https://imagecompressor.com/ to do this. Aim to keep images used in emails under 200kb or lower.
Write catchy subject lines
If possible, include the recipient name in the subject line and consider what would catch the eye and interest of your client. Consider what you would click on yourself.
DO: “[Name], I’ve got an exciting opportunity for you”, “[Name], this could be the best thing for your hearing”.
DON’T: “Introducing ReSound ONE”, “Try the new ReSound ONE hearing aid”.
Write actionable call-to-actions
If you’re adding clickable buttons to your emails, write positive, actionable text to increase click-throughs and don’t hesitate to experiment with slightly longer call-to-actions.
DO: “Try it yourself today”, “Request a FREE trial here”, “Yes, let me book an appointment”.
DON’T: “Read more”, “See more”, “Buy now”, “Sign up”, “Book now”.
Keep it short
People spend 12-13 seconds on average reading emails, so less is more. When writing the text for your emails, read it through and see how much you can read and absorb in that timespan and adjust accordingly.
