ReSound® introduces camouflage designs to expand personalization
GN ReSound recently announced at the Joint Defense Veterans Audiology Conference (JDVAC) in St. Louis that its Smart Hearing solutions are available in three new camouflage designs. These new designs further expand the personalization and customization options available to wearers of ReSound LiNX2™, the world’s smartest hearing aids with Made for iPhone® connectivity, and ReSound ENZO2™, the most advanced super power hearing aid for people with severe to profound hearing loss.

March 14, 2016

ReSound Smart Hearing aids are designed to help people engage in even the most challenging listening environments, and hear sounds as nature intended. The behind-the-ear (BTE) and receiver-in-ear (RIE) models for ReSound LiNX2 and ReSound ENZO2 will be offered in three camouflage-inspired patterns: Desert Camo, Forest Camo and Ocean Camo. The new designs are available through hearing healthcare professionals, and will be available through Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense on May 1.

In celebration of this, ReSound will donate $25,000 to Fisher House Foundation, an organization that provides ‘a home away from home’ for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The homes provide temporary free lodging so military and Veterans’ families can be close to their loved ones during a medical crisis.

“Fisher House Foundation is excited to partner with ReSound to support our military, Veterans and their families,” said Ken Fisher, Chairman and CEO of Fisher House Foundation. “Not all battles are fought on the battlefield. A medical crisis, the most personal battle of all, can attack a loved one unexpectedly at any time. That’s where Fisher Houses have an impact—a home away from home, free of charge, near their loved one’s bedside. ReSound’s efforts will help us to achieve that mission.”

“At ReSound, we are always designing with the wearer in mind. In the same way that the technologies in ReSound’s Smart Hearing aids adapt to the wearer’s lifestyle and changing listening environments, we are expanding the range of designs to support even more preferences,” said Kim Lody, President, ReSound North America. “We are thrilled to introduce these camouflage options for people to wear with pride. Through our partnership with Fisher House Foundation, we are honored to support an organization that does so much for our Veterans and military.”

According to VA, hearing loss and tinnitus, a buzzing or ringing in the ears, are the most common service-related injuries among America’s 21.8 million Veterans today. The Hearing Health Foundation estimates that they affect sixty percent of American veterans and at least one in every 10 American adults, both veterans and civilians.

The JDVAC Conference is the largest annual gathering of military and VA audiologists, held this year in St. Louis from February 22-24, and helps maintain the highest quality of patient care, training, and research in support of Veterans and military worldwide.

ReSound’s revolutionary hearing aid technology is available through a global network of hearing care professionals and to Veterans through VA or active military through the Department of Defense.
